EYC: The objectives Introduce and support the YC in both partner schools Establish the EYC between the three partner schools Initiate EYC projects within the schools and communities Be an inspiration to other institutions Equip students with communication, diplomatic and organisational skills Financial awareness, mathematical and business studies skills Develop an awareness of different cultures and languages, and the ability to function in an international environment

EYC: Why? Lack of ‘real life’ learning in schools Allow students to develop lifelong skills The need to foster a sense of European Citizenship and responsibility

EYC: Partner responsibilities All Partner Schools Select target group and travelling group Hold information sessions for students and staff Monitor progress Advertising EYC in school and local area Language provision for students Proposing new ideas

EYC: Who? High student involvement – mostly student led Tomlinscote YC and as many members of staff as possible - ICT - Business - MFL - Graphics - Mathematics - Careers

EYC: Trips Proposed visits: November 2008 - Hungarian and German YCs visit England May 2009 – EYC meets in Budapest October 2009 – EYC meets in Germany July 2010 – EYC meets in England
