Part-time courses/ Continuing education Part-time courses (continuing education) aim to upgrade students’ qualification, to enlarge professional attainments and experiences. This education include practical trainings, master classes, lecture courses. Those courses focuses on the most relevant topics, such as ecology, sustainable development, urbane geography, efficient natural management, tourism and information technologies. The most distinctive features of part-time courses, that are offered by the faculty, are as follows: Complex approach to education Presence of both theoretical and practical courses Compilation of individual schedule of training Organization of practical trainings and masterclasses Availability of international certificates Assistance of placing in a job Ramped payment of education
28
International cooperation Main goals: - participation in the international research programmes, contribution to the contacts with EU, USA, Asian countries, developing countries - promotion of Russian science to the World - -Involvement and motivation of foreign students to study at Faculty of Geography of Lomonosov MSU
29
International cooperation State-of-the- art Agreements for joint research and friendly relationship with European Universities Main projects and parners: -UN Environmental Programme (UNEP) - National Geographic Society -WWF - MEGAPOLI (Megacities: Emissions, urban, regional and Global Atmospheric POLution and climate effect, and Integrated tools for assessment and mitigation)
