7. Needs for developing capacity Process based support rather than product based. Long-term financing mechanisms – Not project based – Linked with institutional development Govts need to do the homework – Institutional arrangements – Their own strategies for capacity Develop clear criteria for supporting agents: CONSOLIDATING – Develop clear a clear strategy (WWF & Redd Academy) – Academia as in Educating Maintaining Capacities – Emphasize service providers with necessary structure and logistics for long term support. R&D need to be separated from support for establishing well known alternatives We need to make this thing SIMPLER not more complicated – Any dataset can be used adequately, in a legitimate way – Not generate non based expectations – Figure out how to live with uncertainty in a legitimate way Meet Countries real needs: Connect the dots! (donors talking to each other) The rise of CMRV (NMRV-CMRV-FPIC-SIS)  Better activity data!  Better interpretation of RS data  Better context for understanding what we see
