2 1 Florida Medicaids Enhanced Benefits Program The goal of the Enhanced Benefits program is to promote self involvement in ones health care needs. To achieve this, participation in healthy behaviors that have positive outcomes and can improve ones health status will be rewarded. Rewards are in the form of credit dollars that may be used to purchase health related products and supplies. Beneficiaries may earn up to a maximum of $125 per year in credit dollars.

3 2 Enhanced Benefits The current Medicaid ID card is used to access the accounts and may be used at any Medicaid participating pharmacy. All beneficiaries enrolled in a Medicaid Reform Health plan are eligible for the Enhanced Benefit program. An account is established for each beneficiary at the time of the first credit deposit in the account and account statements are mailed to the beneficiary each month reflecting any activity occurring on the account (credits and debits).

4 3 Enhanced Benefits Beneficiaries began earning credits September 1, 2006 First healthy behaviors reported by Plans October 10, 2006. First credits were posted to accounts November 1, 2006. Enhanced Benefits call center went live, November 1, 2006. First account statements to beneficiaries November 6, 2006 As of June 8, 2007, over 69,000 beneficiaries had received credits, totaling $2,958,248 in credit dollars, for healthy behaviors to date. As of June 8, 2007, 3,269 unique beneficiaries had used $77,359.41 in credits.
