easyDATA Professional Data Capture and Analysis
2
easyDATA Professional
Reads data from coin mechanisms and vending machine control units Laser scanner for inventory management Tailored to the needs of the vending industry Continuously adapted to the requirements and specific features of leading manufacturers Infrared and IrDA standards RS232, TTL and analog interfaces all in one Internal extension slot
3
easyDATA Professional
Easy to operate, even without training Absolutely safe and secure data storage Simple and trouble-free Bar-code extension enables inventory management
4
Easy Operation Data export procedure:
Either: connect device Or: Point easyDATA at the data interface and press “ON“ Red LED remains lit while data is being exported Wait until light goes off Done.
5
Special Features: Automatic Interface Control (AIC)
Ensures data-interface compatibility with almost all devices on the market Provides for future extensions Adapted to state-of-the-art technologies “Future-proof“ and expandable hardware still supports the requirements of older vending machines (not often the case with data export devices) Bar code laser scanner available
6
easyDATA Professional and Bar Codes
Supports complete inventory management Quality laser scanner integrated into the device, thus enabling distance readings Exceeds the quality of conventional CCD bar code readers by far using a laser scanner Descriptions of scanned products stocked in machines can be shown on the display Simple and trouble-free
7
Bar Codes: An Efficient Concept
A bar code sticker showing the machine‘s unique ID is placed in each vending machine The route person logs on to the vending machine If necessary, data is read out from the coin mechanism (vending machine control unit) Stocked products are then read Problems and malfunctions can be captured if required The route person then logs off the specific vending machine Data entry errors can be reversed easily using correction bar codes
8
Bar Codes: An Efficient Concept
Advantages Exact entry of merchandise stocked/removed Assignment of products to each vending machine (location) The route driven by the route person can be traced precisely using the bar codes captured The easyDATA clock provides easy and reliable time records. easyDATA records the exact login/logoff time at each vending machine The time spent at each machine and travel time are thus also recorded Recurring malfunctions can be detected easily using evaluation software
9
Functions & Features Handling designed to minimize training requirements and ensure error-free operation even by untrained users Real-time clock can not be changed by user Integrated, high-quality bar-code laser scanner for merchandise management Various interfaces Crucial data is stored safely and securely in FLASH memory
10
Functions & Features Interfaces / Protocols:
9-pin D-Sub for RS232 printer output NRI printer emulation NRI G26 Höfer mode using plug-in connection or IR G46 DDCMP using plug-in connection or IR Mars Cashflow DDCMP using plug-in connection or IR DEX/UCS using adapter cable (IR available) Standard infrared DDCMP (Eva-Dts, Vidts) supporting a wide variety of coin mechanisms and vending-machine control units IRDA infrared DDCMP (Eva-Dts 5.0)
11
Functions & Features Interfaces / Protocols:
FAGE protocol using infrared Flexible programming of D-Sub plug, capable of simulating virtually all common interfaces Various custom settings, e.g. export of data from Rhea vending machine control units Transfer of completed coin settings/vending machine settings with Eva-Dts, Höfer and DEX/UCS - considerable time savings Bar codes (laser scanner for distance readings) Inventory management possible using bar codes Supports Quick payment modules
12
Examples Printer emulation: Mars Electronics Mars 1900, CF 560, CF 690, NRI G26 and G46, Azkoyen, Wittenborg Junior and Mariner, FAS, Wurlitzer, etc. Höfer protocol: Vendo, AHT, NRI G26, etc. Eva-Dts Ddcmp: Mars Electronics CF560, CF690, NRI G46, Silaff, FAS, FAGE, Vendo, Wittenborg, etc. Dex/Ucs: Vendo, CoinCo, etc. Eva-Dts IrDA: Rhea, FAS, etc. Printer emulation via IrDA: Vendo BB01-4 Special protocols: Rhea XS, Sagoma, Dex via IrDA, etc. Audit module required
13
Software Features Convergence of various data formats in a standardized form Re-conversion into Eva-Dts, thus allowing printout and Höfer to be output to Eva-Dts Freely definable output fields Standard import function for Excel and Access Customer-specific adaptation possible Inventory management possible using bar codes
14
Software - Special adaptations
Software can be adapted to customer‘s specific needs Enables special merchandise management processes Supports extensions such as GSM data transfer
15
Summary easyDATA Professional:
Merchandise management / Bar codes supported Interfaces: IrDA, IR, RS232, TTL-RS232, analog interface, Automatic Interface Control (AIC) IR (ASK 34kHz) and IrDA TTL – RS232 Auto-detection of baud rate (110–1200 baud) for NRI Facilitates hardware extensions Tried and tested in the vending industry Developed specifically for the requirements of the vending industry and continuously adapted to market-leading manufacturers and specific features
