2. 2004/05 The DoT allocated R300 000 for the revision of TMH 1. There was a breakdown in communication between Dot, MTC and SANRAL which led to the money not being secured in time before the end of the financial year. A meeting will be scheduled between the DoT and the RMC to resolve this matter and get the project started.

3. 2005/06 TMH 1: Standard Methods of Testing Road Construction Materials. TRH 20: The Structural Design, Construction and Maintenance of Unpaved Roads. The department has allocated R700 000 for both projects.

4. 2006/07 TRH 11: Guidelines for the Conveyance of Abnormal Loads. TMH 7: Code of Practice for the Design of Highway Bridges and Culverts in South Africa 2007/08 TMH 9: Pavement Management Systems: Standard Visual Assessment Manual for Flexible Pavements. TRH 22: Pavement Management Systems.

5. 2008/09 TRH 4: Structural Design of Flexible Pavements for Interurban and Rural Roads. TMH 11: Standard Survey Methods. 2009/10 TMH 5: Sampling methods for road construction materials. TMH 12: Pavement management systems: Standard visual assessment manual for unsealed roads, version 1.

6. This plan is based on current funding levels and should change with increased funding or contributions from other stakeholders. We are currently converting the TRH series into digital format. The challenge we facing is that we have very bad copies so we are unable to scan most of the diagrams. We appeal to those who have good copies and/or diagrams in digital format to please assist us.
