Design drivers The form, shape, and structure of the Global Change Grand Challenge is a South African project that must support science and technology as well as key social, economic development, and environmental management objectives Global Change Grand Challenge National Sustainable Development Framework, 2008 Climate Change Response Strategy, 2004 Research and Development Strategy, 2002 White Paper on Science and Technology, 1996 National Industrial Policy Framework, 2007 Sectoral Policies (water, agriculture, etc.)
