2 WHY MSc[ITE]? Ongoing importance of ICT use in education ICT impact education: life long learning, autonomous learning, … New goals and new approaches to education needed New learning technologies need input from educators with insight about learning

3 Designed to prepare teachers, principals & related education professionals to undertake design, development implementation, evaluation, and management of ICT use in education to become ‘informed, reflective practitioners’ in the information age to develop leadership capacities in the uses of ICT in education AIMS

4 WHO SHOULD APPLY?  Principals & teachers of all subjects and levels  Education professionals, including educational publishers, software developers, education administrators & IT coordinators, teacher librarians, and human resource development personnel with an interest in ITE who wish to undertake research and to update and reflect on their knowledge as well as practice.

5 COURSE STRUCTURE Students complete 8 modules 1. Dissertation option OR 2.Coursework only option Each module consists of a minimum of 24 contact hours or equivalent MSc[ITE] involves a minimum of 300 hours of prescribed work
