8 Sugarcane Status in Maharashtra  Area under sugarcane – 10 lakh Ha.  Coverage under micro irrigation – 2 lakh Ha.  Potential for micro irrigation – 8 lakh Ha.  Funds required (Rs. ) – 4000 Cr.  Present productivity level – 81 MT/ha.  Expected productivity with MI – 100 MT/Ha.
