6 What Does a Majority MEAN? Since the Liberal party won more than half of the 107 seats in Ontario’s Legislature they can easily pass laws and maintain the confidence, or support, of the legislature. With the ability to maintain confidence, the province of Ontario should not see another provincial election for 4 years.
