Proposed approach for improving user involvements and for monitoring and updating user requirements and satisfaction over time Develop an outline of an outreach programme Progress from GEO-3

Group on Earth bservations Group on Earth bservations UR&OSG GEO-4 Tokyo 22-23 April 2004 4 Convergence with IPTT work proposal continue with the UR gap analysis and identify high priority requirements, in cooperation with other Subgroups define users involvement mechanisms and contribute to identify : modalities for updating user requirements over time monitoring of user satisfaction over time possible creation of UR database for GEOSS contribute to design an Outreach Programme with Capacity Building SG contribute to define milestones, reporting and review process relevant to UR &O for the 10-year implementation plan. Group on Earth bservations Group on Earth bservations UR&OSG GEO-4 Tokyo 22-23 April 2004 5 Participation to the IPTT – SGs meeting in Paris (13 –14 May) UR &O SG meeting in Exeter (UK) (17-18 May) Continue user requirements gap analysis relying on UR&O SG organisations, already identified, and others willing to join. Support the organization of gap analysis workshops, where needed, to discuss, compare and build on existing work. Contribute to the organization of Outreach workshops, with Capacity Building SG and others, where needed. Next Steps (2)
