Final Paper Guideline The paper should be approximately 3000 words (roughly 8 -9 pages, Font 12 pt, double spaced) Maximum 12 pages All pictures should be located at the end of the paper (maximum 1 page) Must include reference Your sole analysis/discussion cannot be based on the web (such as Goggle and Wikipedia) You should use your presentation as the foundation

Miyazaki Hayao (1941-) Born in Tokyo Miyazaki Family owns “Miyazaki-kuukoo-koogaku”, an airplane parts company (he learned the company made A6M Zero fighter planes) Relatively wealthy family (even during the Pacific war) He was fascinated with aviation; studied and drew pictures of airplanes Keyword: Airplane, Zero-sen, KamikazeKamikaze

Miyazaki Hayao: Early Years Miyazaki was often sick as a child so he read and drew manga Captured by Tezuka’s Manga, Miyazaki decided to become Manga-ka when he was high- school. Also, he saw “Hakujyaden” (Toei’s Animated movie” and interested in Animation (he “fell in love” with the heroin of the movie) Keyword: Tezuka, strong female leading character
