VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION Provider Order Checks Order checks* are done when the accept button is selected and the order is being signed A few of the order check types include: Drug/drug interactions Duplicate drug class Drug/allergy interactions The two degrees of order checks are: Significant – for information only Critical – requires justification and signature for acceptance * Order checks appear for both inpatient and outpatient medication order(s). 6
