2. Our Mission... n Covenant Counseling Center of South Carolina was established in 1990 as a faith- based, not-for-profit community agency with a mission of providing high quality, comprehensive, and affordable professional Christian mental health services to our community...

Accomplishing the Mission... n By supporting pastors, churches, and businesses throughout the Lowcountry with a viable alternative to secular mental health services without compromising quality. n By enabling pastors and human resources directors to confidently refer cases which they feel unable to deal with effectively.

Accomplishing the mission... n By ensuring that affordable faith-based mental health services are available to all residents of our service areas. n By employing only the most highly skilled clinicians who have made a commitment to the integration of Christian principles and faith into their therapy model.

5. Our Vision... n It is our vision that professional faith-based mental health services should be available to all who desire them. n Inability to afford mental health services should NOT be a reason for denial of needed services! Our Mission Assistance Program provides funding for qualifying clients as long as funds are available.

6. Who we serve... n Our counselors provide services to individuals, couples, and families without regard to race or religious preference. n In fact, some clients have no religious preference, choosing counseling with us because they trust our commitment and they respect the competence of our staff.

8. Our staff... n Barbara Weaver is our office manager and appointments liaison. She works out of our main office in Summerville. n Susan Harris processes our insurance documents and serves as our liaison with the managed care service provider network.

9. Our Board of Directors... n Covenant Counseling has a Board of Directors who volunteer their time and talents because they believe in this ministry. n They have witnessed first-hand how lives have been changed through the services provided by our counseling centers.

11. Is there really a need? n You bet! Pastors, chaplains, and human resources personnel are frequently overwhelmed with counseling requests. n Many problems go far beyond spiritual issues, requiring the help of a skilled mental health professional. n Where can they turn for help?

It’s a matter of trust... n Pastors and HR Directors want to be assured, when entrusting the care of a member of their congregation or company to another professional, that they can feel good about the services received. n They can be confident that excellent care is being combined with a strong commitment to a Christian world view. n Most people, when surveyed, preferred a counselor who would be comfortable incorporating the client’s faith into therapy

13. Where’s the need? n Anyone who works as a helping professional knows that demand for counseling services is dramatically increasing every year. n Why is this?

14. Sobering Facts... n 1 out of 2 marriages will end in divorce. n Over 1 million children suffer from violence every year. n 16% of couples experience domestic violence every year. n 2 million women and children are injured due to physical abuse annually.

15. Depression and Anxiety... n Depression affects 15% of all Americans. n Anxiety affects 12.6% of the population.

16. Suicide... n The suicide rate has DOUBLED in the past forty years. n 7 women per 100,000 commit suicide. n 32 men per 100,000 commit suicide.

What about fees? n Because CCCSC is committed to providing services to ALL clients, regardless of income, some of our clients depend on our Mission Assistance Program to supplement their payment. n To supplement fees, we need individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations like yours to partner with us - enabling these valuable services to be provided.

20. Partners in Ministry... n Many churches throughout the tri-county area, make CCCSC part of their annual budget. n Regular monthly or annual contributions provide stability for this much-needed ministry. n Some businesses refer employees using their EAP.
