Early onset of anger usually continues unless treated, and the longer it continues the less likely positive change becomes (Humphrey & Brooks, 2006) Increased amount of students excluded from school “as a direct result of anger management problems” (Humphrey & Brooks, 2006, p. 5)

Children that deal with anger may suffer in the areas of: “physical, social, educational, and vocational well-being (Deffenbacher, Lynch, Oetting, & Kemper, 1996, p. 149) After participating in an anger management activity within the school many students “felt less anger [and] were able to exercise considerably more control in their response” (Dwivedi & Gupta, 2000, p. 80).
