The earliest readings that I could remember were stories of the Bible. My favorite stories as a child were: Noah’s Ark, the birth of Jesus, and Joseph and the multi-colored coat. These stories shaped my faith of understanding that God is a loving God, God is a forgiving God, and that when others are mean to you, not to be mean to them. “ Two wrongs don’t make a right”, my Grandfather always used to say.

I was always an advanced reader through out my earlier school years. My second grade teacher introduced me to The Velveteen Rabbit. I must have read this story a thousand times. As a child, I was told I was too sensitive. This story resonated with me in those earlier years because, I felt the rabbit’s pain; feeling neglected by his friend and the joy of finally being popular in his friends eyes. As a child, we all had those moments when friends found other friends to play with or big sister and big brother thought you were to small to play their games.

In middle school, I was fascinated with romance novels. Although, now I realized they were a little to much for my age. I would spend hours, sometimes reading till early morning and it would be hard for me to get up for school. One of my favorite authors was Nora Roberts. I still enjoy her stories by watching them on Lifetime TV. I was also fascinated with the Sweet Valley High book series written by Francine Pascal and the Nancy Drew Mysteries series. The past 10 years I have been on a quest to know my purpose in this life, to learn how to love on a deeper level, and to understand who are the people who are on my side. These books have been taking me on this Journey, and many much more that I did not have the space to list. They have shaped my faith, loving myself, my love for family, friends and just humanity in its entirety. They also have inspired me to dapped into the world of writing. I am so excited to continue on in the world of reading!

MY PERSONAL LEARNING STYLE My three top learning styles are Interpersonal, visual/spatial and linguistic. I am not surprise at all. I have taken this test many times before; for leadership classes at church and for a youth organization that I am a board member. According to the learning style profile, I am well developed, good with words, like to write and read a lot, I am good at art, visualizing, navigating, and I am good at persuading and selling or at teaching others and can read other people's moods well. That is me in a nutshell, I love being me. Although, sometimes, I wish I could be more stern. Nevertheless I am who I am, and the fact that the creator created me just the way I am; a loving, compassionate, funny, good looking gal, I have no complaints.
