Equipment and substances 9 test tubes 4 days malt peas filter paper liquid fertilizer water with sugar stand distilled water colored wax crayon ruler
28
Pour water into three tubes
29
Pour liquid fertilizer into next three tubes
30
Pour water with sugar into last three tubes
31
Make nine balls of filter paper and put them in a tube, but don’t let them slide down
32
Put a pea seedling on filter paper ball
33
Put tubes in the stand in the classroom for a week
34
After week Observe any changes that occurred in all test tubes with peas seedlings
35
We measure pea seedlings root length
36
Tube number FluidIn beginning of the experiment, mm At the end of the experiment, mm 1. Distilled water 014 2. Distilled water 05 3. Distilled water 022 4. Liquid fertilizer 025 5. Liquid fertilizer 023 6. Liquid fertilizer 010 7. Water with sugar 012 8. Water with sugar 06 9. Water with sugar 00 We register the results in the table!
37
Average pea seedling root length Distilled water (14+5+22):3=13.7 mm Liquid fertilizer (25+23+10):3=19.3mm Water with sugar (12+6+0):3=6mm
38
Average pea seedling root length
39
Conclusion The best environment for pea seedling is fertilized liquid The worst environment for pea seedling is water with sugar We proved that fertilized liquid is needed for plant to grow!!
