Planned Activity Capacitate and support DTI to integrate green approaches into its projects and programs Status DTI-Cebu sensitized on Green Economic Development resulting to –  integration of green aspects in DTI Programs like CARP, consumer education, NICCEP  Inclusion of green topics in the events of Cebu City MSMED Council where DTI is the secretariat(e.g Power and Energy Saving Techniques, Food Safety & Good Manufacturing Practices) Line of Intervention Green framework conditions DTI‘s programs and approaches better support MSMEs in making their businesses more climate smart and environment friendly

Planned Activity Capacitate and support DTI to integrate green approaches into its projects and programs Status DTI-Bohol sensitized on Green Economic Development that resulted to –  introduction of greening initiatives in the tourism, GDH and processed food industry clusters  Organizing an SME Roving Academy with green modules/topics  Mounting of a Green Trade Fair “Go green. Buy local” during the Regional Sandugo Trade Expo Line of Intervention Green framework conditions DTI‘s programs and approaches better support MSMEs in making their businesses more climate smart and environment friendly

Planned Activity Develop a green results framework for DTI Status Supported the conduct of the first phase of the study to support DTI prepare its Green Results Framework DTI Green Core Group was created to – Elaborate a policy brief (definitions, concepts, etc.) – Elaborate a Green Results Framework – Elaborate suggestions how setting up a process within DTI can be realistically initiated how existing projects and programs can be utilized to drive the green agenda in DTI about the role of DTI within the institutional environment of the Philippines – Identify new (externally funded) projects and programs Line of Intervention Green framework conditions DTI‘s programs and approaches better support MSMEs in making their businesses more climate smart and environment friendly

Planned Activity Capacitate DTI to green its industry clusters and value chains Status Conducted VC Chain Workshop for DTI Tourism Industry Cluster Regional Coordinators using the Success Factors of Capacity WORKS and integrating the topic on greening the tourism value chain (National) Supported the conduct of Tourism Value Chain Workshops integrating the green elements (Caraga, Negros Oriental and Siquijor) Supported the conduct of Tourism Focus Group Discussions ( FGDs) in Negros Oriental Line of Intervention Green framework conditions DTI‘s programs and approaches better support MSMEs in making their businesses more climate smart and environment friendly

7. Planned Activity Integrate green elements in SME Roving Academy Status Introduced green topics in the Bohol SME Roving Academy during the Regional Sandugo Trade Expo. Topics included: – Green Workplace – Recycling for Business – Environmental Effects to Food Safety BMSMED suggested to the provinces the inclusion of green topics in their Roving Academy Line of Intervention Green framework conditions DTI‘s programs and approaches better support MSMEs in making their businesses more climate smart and environment friendly

8. Planned Activity Integrate green elements in DTI procurement Status DTI Department Order was signed by Sec. Domingo creating the DTI Green Procurement Committee headed by Usec Maglaya Line of Intervention Green framework conditions DTI‘s programs and approaches better support MSMEs in making their businesses more climate smart and environment friendly

9. Planned Activity Identify (and support) industry clusters that need interventions on environment friendly and climate smart solutions Status Sensitized the Cebu Health & Wellness Council on GED/ProGED during the review and re- planning activity  CHWC underwent Capacity Development measure to strengthen their capacity as steering body to support the implementation of the action plan of the VC including “greening activities” Line of Intervention Green framework conditions MSMEs, LGUs, NGAs and BMOs cooperate to use opportunities for an environmental friendly and climate smart development

10. Planned Activity Identify (and support) industry clusters that need interventions on environment friendly and climate smart solutions Status Sensitized the Bohol Provincial Tourism Council /Bohol Tourism Office on Green Economic Development and their roles in Greening the Bohol Tourism Value Chain Focused Group Discussions with accommodation, tour and transport operators and souvenir sectors resulted to Action Plans addressing environmental issues  Drafted resolutions for accommodation and tour/transport sectors on localizing accreditation of accommodation and tour operator operations and amending the requirement for “brand new cars for transport operators Line of Intervention Green framework conditions MSMEs, LGUs, NGAs and BMOs cooperate to use opportunities for an environmental friendly and climate smart development

11. Planned Activity Conduct inventory of LGUs that implement green development projects. Status Started the process of compiling environment friendly policies and legislation of all the 47 municipalities of Bohol province Line of Intervention Green framework conditions (1) MSMEs, LGUs, NGAs and BMOs cooperate to use opportunities for an environmental friendly and climate smart development

12. Planned Activity Compile good cases of green policies/ legislation of LGUs Status Supported the conduct of a Study to consolidate case examples of green policies/legislation of LGUs Case examples of LGUs with green policies/projects were presented during Green Forum for Bohol’s LGUs Line of Intervention Green framework conditions MSMEs, LGUs, NGAs and BMOs cooperate to use opportunities for an environmental friendly and climate smart development

13. Planned Activity Facilitate benchmarking visits to locations/compa nies that have demonstrated impacts thru combining greening measures with economic development Status LGUs and MSMEs were identified during the Cebu H &W Action Planning Workshop >> to do benchmarking visit to Aloguinsan, Cebu LGU Preparatory activities were undertaken to facilitate possible green learning visit to Germany Line of Intervention Green framework conditions MSMEs, LGUs, NGAs and BMOs cooperate to use opportunities for an environmental friendly and climate smart development
