A Wiki is a collaborative website in which teachers, students, and even parents could gather, edit, and present information. The word “wiki” comes from a Hawaiian word which means quick or fast.

Create a culture of trust Educate students about and holding them accountable to Wiki conventions Create a common goal for participation Use the Wiki for authentic activities Provide guides for using the Wiki Communicate clear deadlines Define roles for collaboration Clearly state course expectations Model collaborative activities Remain patient with students when they struggle with the technology
