NURSING IMPLICATIONS Patient education before tests to allay anxiety Inquire about allergies to iodine or seafood before scans, MRI, arthrography Remove all metal before MRI Signed consent prior to invasive procedures

NURSING INTERVENTIONS POST ARTHROSCOPY Compression dressing (elastic wrap) Ice packs Analgesics as ordered Extension & elevation of joint Activity & weight-bearing restriction as ordered Teach pt to watch for swelling, numbness, cool skin, elevated temp
