16 Notes from Information Sharing / Collaboration Technologies
APAN – Can be used for exercise planning, as a training gateway, information sharing portal (already chosen by AFRICOM as such). Successfully used and validated by USPACOM and USSOUTHCOM in training and real world ops. Harmonie Web – Used for information sharing , but to a much lesser extent. JNTC (JTEN) – Joint Training and Experimentation Network. Primarily used with persistent nodes requiring network installation. Used successfully in providing LVC elements into training exercises. Global Action – EUCOM Share Point Portal. Not enough information of where and how it is hosted. Primary use is information sharing. JWFC – JKO for pre-exercise on-line training for the training audience. Possible use by exercise controllers and/or observer/trainers. NOTE: None of the above systems work in a strictly classified environment.
