2 What Motivates Rotarians– B The Importance of Recognition  Encourages Rotarians to continue serving and contributing  Makes people feel valued and special  Sign of appreciation  Motivates others to serve and contribute

3 What Motivates Rotarians– C Promoting Awards and Recognition  Discuss recognition and awards at weekly meetings and club assemblies.  Recognize members who serve in an outstanding manner.  Work with district leaders to identify Rotarians in your club who have displayed excellence.  Develop club-level awards to recognize outstanding service.

4 What Motivates Rotarians– D Service Awards  From Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation  Recognize service at the individual, club and district level Examples -  Presidential Citation Award (Club award)  Service Above Self Award (Individual award)

5 What Motivates Rotarians– E Contribution Recognition  Represents a gift from the Rotary Foundation Trustees in appreciation of a financial contribution or commitment  Is not considered an award, but an expression of gratitude Example -  Paul Harris Fellow
