Reducing gas emissions By: Justin, Ryan, Chris and Declan
2
Introducing electric alternatives
3
Positives of electric alternatives -Electric alternatives would stop almost all co2 emissions -Electricity can be generated many different ways -It is much cheaper than gas -Electricity is renewable
4
Employment and TTC - Coal and fossil fuel mining may causes long term sicknesses - The new jobs will have no possibility of gathering long term sicknesses - Working underground and mining minerals can be dangerous, installing solar panels have a much lower risk
5
Costs -Large upfront cost to switch to electricity -Electricity is much cheaper than gas, so in the long term, we will actually be saving money
6
Public transit
7
Negatives of electric alternatives -Harder to store electricity than gas -Electricity doesn't have as much power as gas -Electricity runs out very quickly if used often while gas last much longer -Batteries may take a long time to charge up - Electric cars are much more expensive then gas cars
8
Sustainability -We are currently using a fuel source that is non renewable, but if we switch to electricity, we will have a renewable resource for years to come -There are many different ways to produce electricity -Switching to electricity will reduce co2 emission tremendously and save our planet.
