Genre: Fables What is a fable? Length: Very short stories Characters: usually only two or three, mostly animals that act like people. Theme: Teaches a lesson or moral

Genre: Myths What is a myth? Tries to explain: how something in nature happened, or why people or animals act as they do. Characters: people, gods and goddesses, or animals.
