Effective Behavioral Support This is a model in which students are taught the expected behavior that has been determined by the school Students learn to recognize expected behaviors for every area of the school building (hallways, bus, classroom, cafeteria, etc.) Students learn the main principles of ROCKS (ROCKS matrix)

Referral Process Students are made aware of the ROCKS principle that they have not followed. A level system is used to sort behaviors and consequences Expected behaviors are reinforced (Discipline plan sheet)

How Data is Utilized Continual review of students of concern Check and Connect Teacher phone calls to parent Data analysis by EBS subcommittee Review of monthly data by staff Parent notifications of 5 or more referrals

How Data is Utilized, continued Reinforcement of expectations based on need, according to data ROCKS classes “Cool Tool of the Week”(proposed) Incentives ROCKS cards Earned privileges/prizes

Check and Connect Students identified by number of referrals and team concerns, academic and behavioral Parents, student, administrator and teaching team meet to discuss plan Plan developed to set goals for improvement Teachers and student monitor goals each period Staff member checks point sheet AM and PM Incentives (ROCKS card) earned for reaching goal
