Classroom Community Our classroom is a community. In our community, we will discuss and develop rules to help us get along with each other and enjoy the school year. We will build on “I care” rules: We listen to each other. We keep our hands, feet and objects to ourselves. We use “I care” language. We care about each other’s feelings. We are responsible for what we say and do.

Homework Homework is designed as a review of skills taught in school. In accordance with district policy, third graders are to receive no more than 30 minutes of homework each night. Assignments will be listed for the week and found in their homework folder. Please sign your child’s assignment paper as the work is completed to ensure clear communication between school and home. If your child is struggling with homework, please sign his/her homework paper with “Does Not Understand.” I will then be sure that the homework was attempted. I want homework to be a time for your child to show how much he/she has learned and for you to work together.
