2 Standards Evaluate the major debates that occurred during the development of the Constitution and their ultimate resolutions in such areas as shared power among institutions, divided state-federal power, slavery, the rights of individuals and states (later addressed by the addition of the Bill of Rights), and the status of American Indian nations under the commerce clause. 8.2.6 Enumerate the powers of government set forth in the Constitution and the fundamental liberties ensured by the Bill of Rights.

4 Amendment The only way the Constitution can be changed.
First ten amendments are called the Bill of Rights. -ratified 1791.

Enumerated powers. If it is not in the Constitution, don’t worry it doesn’t mean you can’t have it. Remember that a 9 is a backwards P for Power of the People

15 #10 Powers Reserved to the States
If it is not written in the Constitution, it’s up to the states Remember, “If the Constitution did not Attend to it, it’s up to the states”
