How we started We were split into four groups. The people in our group were: Ross, William, Kathryn, Lucy and Amber. We worked as a team to think of a group name which is

How we chose our task We were indecisive on what our topic should be. Half of us wanted to do the schools history and the other half wanted to do World War I and II. We flipped a coin with other groups and we got heads ( World War I and II)

Logo We all designed a logo each and decided mix up some designs and finally came up with the logo on the right.

Roles We decided on roles which are: Lucy – Chair Kathryn and Amber- Interviewers Ross and William- Advertiser On the computer- Neil

How we Advertised We printed out three posters for the shop, Village hall and the School window. We tried to advertised in the newspaper but it didn’t work. Wireless History

Our Letters Our letter is below : Dear Primary 5,6,7 are doing a project on the history of Strathkinness. We are all different groups. As the chair of Wireless history, one of the groups. I would like to invite you to speak to my group; we have two interviewers that will ask you questions and you will be offered a nice cup of tea. You will be recorded on a microphone because we are doing it for a radio waves topic. Radiowaves is a website where different school report on different subjects. If you could come in we would much appreciate it. Please contact the school or write back. The address and telephone number is at the top right corner. Your Sincerely

Our Gests We invited 3 people from the community and two replied. They came in for about 45 minutes. And answered questions which are on the next page. They also enjoyed their cup of tea and biscuits!

Questions Our questions were: 1.)Was there an air raid shelter if so who owned it? 2.)Did any of your family or friends fight in the war. If any did how did they feel about it? 3.)What were you most scared about in the war? 4.)How did you feel when the Germans finally surrendered? 5.)When was the memorial built and who built it? 6.)Where any children evacuated to or from Strathkinness? 7.)Was there an wireless radio in the war with all the bombs? 8.)What food did you miss most in the war? 9.)Food was rationed in the war, so what did you eat? 10.)Who was you best friend during the war?
