The Department of Taxation (“The Department”) has been responsible for the administration of the Communications Sales Tax, the Landline E-911 and Cable Right of Way fee since January 1, 2007 The Department was to assume distribution of the Wireless E-911fund beginning July 2012 For administrative convenience, the Department did not take over the distribution until March 2013

Returns are filed monthly by taxpayers ◦ All returns are due on the 20 th of each month after the closing of the previous month ◦ Example: Wireless E-911 collected by the taxpayers in May 2013 Returns submitted to the Department by June 20, 2013 Distribution of the Wireless E-911 to the PSAPs by July 20, 2013
