Purposes We can value because of material gain… Teleology For Aristotle… They were simply part of nature… Evolution The Natural World, considered solely in itself, doesn't have purposes at all Evolution is central to modern biology, it holds it all together, it warns us about the potential changes

Life & Purpose Paradoxical at best Depressing at worst But the question is, Does the absence of purpose as a fundamental concept in biology really imply that there are no purposes?

The Direct Answer But we all have and pursue goals and purposes. (Our understanding of our own actions depends on this)
