2 Lot over emphasized the value worldly success (Gen 13:10-13; 2 Pet 2:7-8). – A righteous man with many regrets.

3 Eli allowed undisciplined living (1 Sam 2:12- 17, 22-25; 3:13). – A weak priest who refused to enforce God’s laws in his home.

4 Achan robbed God (Josh 7:1, 10-26). – A greedy man who was proficient in thievery, deception & dishonesty.

5 Jeroboam was willful & stubborn (1 Kings 11:29ff; 15:25-26). – An evil king who rejected the counsel of God.

6 Enoch – Walked w/ God (Gen 5:24). – Lived by faith in God (Heb 11:5). – Pleased God (Heb 11:5). – Prophesied of God’s judgment of sin (Jude 14-15).

7 Noah – Found grace w/ God (Gen 6:8-9). – Walked w/ God. – Lived by faith in God (Heb 11:7). – Served God with reverence & godly fear. – Preached righteousness to the ungodly (2 Pet 2:5).

8 Abraham – Commanded his family to obey God (Gen 18:19). – Lived by faith in obedience to God (Heb 11:8, 17). – The father of all who believe (Rom 4:11).

9 Joshua (Caleb) – A spiritual spokesman for his family. – “We will serve the Lord” (Josh 24:15).
