Ignorance Two kinds of ignorance Untaught on something Reject teaching (Acts 3:14, 15; Luke 23:34) Had they known Jesus... Rejected God’s wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:8) Had the Scriptures, John’s preaching, and miracles (Acts John 5:39; Acts 2:22, 23) Willful ignorance

Envy The reaction of the people Accepted Jesus (Matthew 27:18) A threat to their power and influence A terrible sin Many warnings in the Bible (Genesis 37:11) Still a problem (Galatians 5:21)

Cowardice Pilate knew Jesus was innocent No justifiable cause (Matthew 27:18, 24) People asked for blood (Acts 5:28) Cowardly will not be saved Lost along with others (Revelation 21:8) Must have the courage to stand for Truth

Final thoughts My sins crucified Jesus (Isaiah 53:6-12) He died for me (Galatians 2:20) Sin is not serious until we think of His death
