2 TIMOTHY 2:3-4 (NASB) 3 SUFFER HARDSHIP WITH ME, AS A GOOD SOLDIER OF CHRIST JESUS. 4 NO SOLDIER IN ACTIVE SERVICE ENTANGLES HIMSELF IN THE AFFAIRS OF EVERYDAY LIFE, SO THAT HE MAY PLEASE THE ONE WHO ENLISTED HIM AS A SOLDIER.
3
GALATIANS 5:1-6, 12-14 (NASB) 1 IT WAS FOR FREEDOM THAT CHRIST SET US FREE; THEREFORE KEEP STANDING FIRM AND DO NOT BE SUBJECT AGAIN TO A YOKE OF SLAVERY. 2 BEHOLD I, PAUL, SAY TO YOU THAT IF YOU RECEIVE CIRCUMCISION, CHRIST WILL BE OF NO BENEFIT TO YOU. 3 AND I TESTIFY AGAIN TO EVERY MAN WHO RECEIVES CIRCUMCISION, THAT HE IS UNDER OBLIGATION TO KEEP THE WHOLE LAW. 4 YOU HAVE BEEN SEVERED FROM CHRIST, YOU WHO ARE SEEKING TO BE JUSTIFIED BY LAW; YOU HAVE FALLEN FROM GRACE. 5 FOR WE THROUGH THE SPIRIT, BY FAITH, ARE WAITING FOR THE HOPE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.
4
GALATIANS 5:1-6, 12-14 (NASB) 6 FOR IN CHRIST JESUS NEITHER CIRCUMCISION NOR UNCIRCUMCISION MEANS ANYTHING, BUT FAITH WORKING THROUGH LOVE. 12 I WISH THAT THOSE WHO ARE TROUBLING YOU WOULD EVEN MUTILATE THEMSELVES.13 FOR YOU WERE CALLED TO FREEDOM, BRETHREN; ONLY DO NOT TURN YOUR FREEDOM INTO AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE FLESH, BUT THROUGH LOVE SERVE ONE ANOTHER. 14 FOR THE WHOLE LAW IS FULFILLED IN ONE WORD, IN THE STATEMENT, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”

A SLAVE TO THE LAW

DON’T GO BACK TO JAIL CAUSE JESUS HAS POSTED BAIL

A SLAVE TO SIN

ROMANS 6:1-7 (NASB) 1 WHAT SHALL WE SAY THEN? ARE WE TO CONTINUE IN SIN SO THAT GRACE MAY INCREASE? 2 MAY IT NEVER BE! HOW SHALL WE WHO DIED TO SIN STILL LIVE IN IT? 3 OR DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT ALL OF US WHO HAVE BEEN BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST JESUS HAVE BEEN BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH? 4 THEREFORE WE HAVE BEEN BURIED WITH HIM THROUGH BAPTISM INTO DEATH, SO THAT AS CHRIST WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD THROUGH THE GLORY OF THE FATHER, SO WE TOO MIGHT WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE.
9
ROMANS 6:1-7 (NASB) 5 FOR IF WE HAVE BECOME UNITED WITH HIM IN THE LIKENESS OF HIS DEATH, CERTAINLY WE SHALL ALSO BE IN THE LIKENESS OF HIS RESURRECTION, 6 KNOWING THIS, THAT OUR OLD SELF WAS CRUCIFIED WITH HIM, IN ORDER THAT OUR BODY OF SIN MIGHT BE DONE AWAY WITH, SO THAT WE WOULD NO LONGER BE SLAVES TO SIN; 7 FOR HE WHO HAS DIED IS FREED FROM SIN.
10
JESUS HAS POSTED BAIL DON’T GO BACK TO THE JAIL OF LEGALISM AND BE A SLAVE TO THE LAW. DON’T GO BACK TO THE JAIL OF LIBERALISM AND BE A SLAVE TO SIN.

A SLAVE OF CHRIST

ROMANS 6:18 (NASB) 18 AND HAVING BEEN FREED FROM SIN, YOU BECAME SLAVES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. 1 CORINTHIANS 7:22 (ESV) 22 FOR HE WHO WAS CALLED IN THE LORD AS A BONDSERVANT IS A FREEDMAN OF THE LORD. LIKEWISE HE WHO WAS FREE WHEN CALLED IS A BONDSERVANT OF CHRIST.
13
PHILIPPIANS 2:5-9 (NASB) 5HAVE THIS ATTITUDE IN YOURSELVES WHICH WAS ALSO IN CHRIST JESUS, 6WHO, ALTHOUGH HE EXISTED IN THE FORM OF GOD, DID NOT REGARD EQUALITY WITH GOD A THING TO BE GRASPED, 7BUT EMPTIED HIMSELF, TAKING THE FORM OF A BOND-SERVANT, AND BEING MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN. 8BEING FOUND IN APPEARANCE AS A MAN, HE HUMBLED HIMSELF BY BECOMING OBEDIENT TO THE POINT OF DEATH, EVEN DEATH ON A CROSS. 9FOR THIS REASON ALSO, GOD HIGHLY EXALTED HIM, AND BESTOWED ON HIM THE NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME,
