Symptoms should have been present for more than 2 weeks

Five of the following symptoms Within the same 2- week period Representing a change in mood or behaviour in the person

Find out what these criteria are.

Depressed mood most of the day Diminished interest and pleasure Loss of appetite Eating excessively Lack of concentration Psychomotor agitation or retardation Fatigue Feelings of worthlessness Lack of concentration – indecisiveness Recurrent thoughts of death Distress or impairment in social, occupational functioning

Can’t be accounted for by other physiological factors No bereavement involved.
