13Copyright LINGVA-Valjevo Serbia Food A recipe for Beans with Smoked Ribs Ingredients: ½ kg yellow or red beans, 250 gr smoked ribs, 2 sliced carrots, 1 chopped onion, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 tbs. oil, 1 tbs. flour, ½ ts. red pepper, salt to taste. Preparation: Cook the beans together with smoked ribs, carrots and onion in 2 liters of water for 2-3 hours. Make a light roux of flour, oil, garlic and red pepper and cook with beans mixture for further 15 minutes. Serve with cabbage salad spiced with oil, vinegar and black pepper.
