2. Our school is located in Arcos de la Frontera, at the very heart of Andalucia. Arcos is a strategic milestone of our geography as all the richness and variety of our region is available to us. The golden coastline of Cádiz, together with our ‘sierras’ are only a little drive away. Being on top of a rock and completely whitewashed, make it a tourist spot for people seeking the Andalusian spirit. I.E.S GUADALPEÑA

3. · Our school was built in 2003, that means that our facilities and rooms are almost brand new and include the latest technologies applied to teaching.  It is a two-floor building with 24 classrooms, a staffroom, a secretary, a canteen and a library. It also has two playgrounds and an indoor gym. All the facilities and rooms hold about 1000 students and about 80 teachers. I.E.S GUADALPEÑA  In our school we offer a wide variety of studies: we have Compulsory Secondary Education, Post Compulsory Education ( bachillerato and vocational studies on ICT).

4. Projects in the Physic’s and Chemistry’s Laboratory Projects in the Physic’s and Chemistry’s Laboratory In the laboratory the students work with the computers and scientific instruments.

5. At this moment our staff are working on different projects and programmes to improve the education quality our students receive. Among those we should mention: I.E.S GUADALPEÑA -Plan Familia ( Family Plan). - Centro DIG, (IT equipped school). -Escuela, espacio de paz, (our school, a peaceful environment)

6. -Bilingual project, designed to make our students acquire new contents of different subjects through a foreign language, in this case English. This scheme also reinforces the study of Spanish and a third language, French. This also provides us with IT equipped classrooms to allow our students to use all the resources available so that they can improve their learning. I.E.S GUADALPEÑA

8. This is my playground This is my playground My playground has 4 baskets and 2 goals where we play basketball and football. All the breaks I catch the ball and play basketball with my friends.

9. Peace Day (30 th of January) Peace Day (30 th of January) Peace’s sentences in many differents languages : English, Spanish, French… The dove is the peace’s sign. It’s made with blue, white, green and orange tiles.
