2 Events that lead to the War The French and Indian War (1754) created debt for the English. The British wanted colonists to pay their share. So they began to enforce taxes that they had never enforced before. (Salutary Neglect) The colonists wont be taxed unless represented in parliament. The British sent troops.

3 Proclamation of 1763 Prevented the colonists from getting lands in the west, won from the French. The British wanted no problems with the natives. The British sent troops to enforce it. The colonists ignored it.
