7 7 Mission Statement New Mission Statement The Arrowhead PTA is every child's advocate. We seek to work within and in partnership with the school community to develop programs, projects and activities for children and youth that promote health, welfare, safety and education. (motion required)

8 Overall Goals for 2014-2015 8 – Increase PTA Membership to 400 Members – Increase Male Participation in PTA – Cultivate Parent Education Initiatives – Increase Partnership with MLC Program (motion required)

9 Budget Changes 9 2014-2015 budget revisions: – Add Line Item Menchies/ Swirl Fundraiser $200 – Add Line Item Sewing Cub for $100

10 Budget Vote 10 Re-approve 2014-2015 Budget (motion required) Refer to online link for the 2014-2015 budget file on PTA meeting materials page titled Appendix A.

11 Legislatively Speaking 11 Sammie Schultz to attend the upcoming WA State PTA Legislative Assembly, October 24-25 in Vancouver Issues to be discussed include revenue, special education, highly capable students, professional development, discipline, school safety zones, ELL, literacy, continuing the basic education reforms, grading and family engagement, and more. Assembly will vote to prioritize issues most important to WA State PTA lobbying agenda. PTA has funding to send 3 delegates. (motion required to elect voting delegates)

12 PTA Membership “Our voice and our vote!” as of 10/1/2014 12 Thank you to all that have joined! 69% membership (274 members) Goals 1. 100% membership – (anyone can join!) 2. 400 Members - 1 member for every student 3. 40th Anniversary of our PTA - 400 members, 4 delegates We are contacting friends from past years as well as sending “ reminder ” emails to people who have not yet renewed this year.
