Zion Middle School Highlights Academics Increased CRCT scores in 13 out of 15 areas from 2012 to 2013 6 th grade CRCT scores increased in Exceeds category in ELA, Reading and Math 7 th grade CRCT scores increased in Reading, ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies 7 th grade CRCT scores increased in Exceeds category in Reading and Math 8 th grade CRCT scores increased in Reading, ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies 8 th grade CRCT scores increased in Exceeds category in Reading and Math 98% of 8th graders passed CRCT in Reading 100% of students taking the High School Physical Science course in 8 th grade passed the EOCT Students in Flexible Learning Math Program increased CRCT Math scores from 0% passing to 72% passing

Zion Middle School Highlights Extracurricular and Fine Art Activities State winner in the Nutrition Advisory Council Art Contest-Nicole Morris Eagles Softball team were Champions of the WGMSAC Small School Division Eagles Boys’ Basketball team were Champions of the WGMSAC Small School Division Eagles Baseball team placed 2 nd in WGMSAC Small School Division Championship Carroll County School District Spelling Bee Runner Up-Dennis Bailey Art student was selected as the State Winner and placed 2 nd in the nation in Bus Safety Poster Contest-Mark Jarrell Jessica Lusk was elected for and participated in District Honor Band

12. Mt. Zion Middle School Highlights Other Established an Eagles Serving Others program allowing students to volunteer at Mt. Zion Elementary An active Parent Teacher Organization was reestablished Math/Science Night and Literacy Nights were hosted by the Mt. Zion Cluster Mt. Zion Middle hosted its first annual Fine Arts Night and Technology Night Parent volunteer hours increased from 100 hours to 450 + hours in 2013 100% of classrooms at Mt. Zion Middle are equipped with 21 st century technology Mt. Zion Middle has a One to One iPad initiative for students at school Implemented BYOT for all students

15. Mt. Zion High School Highlights Exceeds rates increased on 4 out of 6 EOCTs Academic Team won the Carroll County Academic Meet 32% of our students scored a 3 or higher on the AP exam—a 6% increase from last year 93% of our 9th graders are on track for graduation

16. Eagles Rise Up! Softball Team placed 3rd in the State Football team were sub region champions with a record of 6‐4 Ashton Robinson was the Wrestling State Champion at 106 lbs Wrestling team placed 4th in State Team Duals

Continuous School Improvement 97% of students agree that the administration and teachers set high expectations for them 94% of students and parents believe they are offered a quality education at Mt. Zion High IPads were issued to students who earned all A’s for the second year Successful plant sale by our agriculture students
