The Views of Hamilton and Jefferson Faith in the common man. Distrusted people of priviledge Wanted lower voting qualifications Thought the common man shouldnt rule. Felt the well educated and elite should be in power. Wanted tougher voting qualifications.

Wanted a small, weak government and strong states. Strict interpretation of the constitution. Individual liberties should not be restricted. Favored a strong central government (larger if necessary). Loose interpretation of the Constitution Felt that the government could sometimes restrict individual liberties.

Wanted a nation of farmers. Didnt want the government to aid businesses. Opposed the National Bank. Wanted less taxes and no national debt. Wanted an economy with increased finance and manufacturing. Supported aid for trade, and businesses. Established a national bank. Wanted to maintain taxes and favored having a national debt.
