6. The Religious Movement During the 1930’s, Rastafarianism (especially popular in Jamaica) has segments with various shades of religious ideas. In 1960’s, the Jamaican musician started to have this specific beliefs and helped spread out this type of religion. 9. Death In July of 1977 he discovered that he had a type of Malignant Melanoma, or cancer. The final concert of Bob Marley’s Career was on September 1980 He died at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami, the morning of May 11 th 1981 at the young age of 26.
