3 Repeater Mode New mode added to the list of Operation mode Menu: Bluetooth -> Operation Mode Parani-MSP1000 in Repeater mode can be used to function as a Repeater in order to extend the range of Bluetooth transmission or avoid obstacles between Parani-MSP1000 and Bluetooth devices Manual 4.2.2 Repeater Mode > page 28

4 Repeater Mode Typical Application: –Extend the transmission range when there is an obstacle between MSP1000 and ESD100-embedded devices –PC can manage both 3 ESD’s connected to the station and the other 3 ESD’s connected to the repeater at the same time ESD1 ESD2 ESD3 MSP RepeaterMSP Station ESD4ESD5ESD6 PC

5 Serial Hub mode New mode added to the list of Service Category Menu: Serial Port Profile -> Port configuration -> Service Category In Serial Hub mode, one SD connected to MSP1000 can communicate with multiple SD’s connected to MSP1000 can communicate with each other, 1:N multi-serial connection Ideal for the cable replacement of RS422/485 Multi-Drop network Manual 5.5.4 & 5.5.8 Fig. Serial hub mode (SD A~D : Parani-SD100s) SD A SD D SD C SD B

6 Serial Hub mode Typical Application: –Cable replacement of Master/Slave type RS422/485 Multi-drop application when Master Device is stand- alone or network-disabled. –Send the data from the scale to multiple PC’s ScalePC A PC B PC C Before : RS485 Multi-drop Scale+SD SD+PC A SD+PC B SD+PC C MSP After : Serial Hub Master Device

7 Vertex mode New mode added to the list of Network service mode Menu –Serial Port Profile -> Vertex configuration –Serial Port Profile -> Port configuration -> Network service -> Network service mode A configuration to send the data from the host to connected Bluetooth devices Manual 5.5.6 & 5.6 Data through Vertex port Fig. Vertex mode

8 Vertex mode Typical Application: –Cable replacement of Master/Slave type RS422/485 Multi-drop application when Master Device is a PC or network-disabled. –Send the message from the host PC to multiple signboards PC (Master device) Signboard Before : RS485 Multi-drop SD+Signboard MSP Ethernet Signboard SD+Signboard After : Vertex mode PC (Master device)

9 Control commands MSP1000 used to be monitored by Telnet, SSH and HTTP. In order for MSP1000 to be monitored by programs, MSP1000 now supports TCP sockets through the port. The Parani-MSP1000 is controllable by Control commands through 2525 TCP port Available commands form Control port –USER admin- PASS admin –STAT- SCAN [IAC] –LIST- DISC [ID] –LOG [Line]- VER –HELP- REBOOT –QUIT Manual Appendix D

10 Control commands With PC-based program, users can monitor the status of SD’s connected to MSP1000 and disconnect the Bluetooth connection. PC SD MSP TCP 2525 port SD - Monitoring each module of MSP1000 - Monitoring SD connection status -Disconnect Bluetooth connection -Logging

11 Others CF Serial modem card –Support PPP communication through Serial modem –Manual 6.2 Serial modem card configuration –Supports modem list COMPAQ CFVFM-5614RD. VFAT –The Parani-MSP1000 supports VFAT (windows file system format) as CF Flash memory file format. Enhanced handling of Bluetooth FTP –When use Bluetooth FTP, you can choose CF Memory Card as Base directory RFC-2217(Telnet COM Port Control Protocol) Support

12 Bug Fix List Fixed the kernel panic problem occurring when the Parani- MSP1000 transfers many data through bluetooth module Fixed the problem that the Portlog was not displayed in the Web correctly –SPP IN/OUT display error –Display error in Readable binary –Added Month / Date to the logging time Fixed the problem that the text of Portlog was not cleared –Portlog Clear error on Webpage Fixed the problem that the Portlog was not logged to CF card.

13 Bug Fix List Fixed the problem that the syslogd logs '-- MARK --' to syslog server. Fixed the problem that the Date and Time configuration was not set correctly. –Daylight saving time support
