5. The credit recogniton system Higher education credits An academic year that comprises 40 weeks of full-time study corresponds to 60 credits. European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). 60 ECTS credits are attained after one academic year of full-time study. One credit is the equivalent of approximately 25-30 hours of study. The transcript of results that you receive from Lund University will record your academic accomplishments in ECTS.
