Suggestions / Recommendations : Session 2 Seoul Conference On Public Awareness Campaigns · The Legislature’s Role -Compare certain common features in the anti trafficking laws -Identify the successful indicators of effective anti trafficking laws -Improve relevant national laws and policies -Establish monitoring mechanism in anti-trafficking laws -Form a consensus on the issues through the democratic process

Suggestions / Recommendations : Session 3 Seoul Conference On Public Awareness Campaigns · Role of Law Enforcement Agency -Strengthen coordination within relevant government agencies -Strengthen regional cooperation among enforcement agencies -Make combating of trafficking a national enforcement priority -Turn victims into witness -Specialized unit among immigration, prosecutors, police, etc.

Bali Process Public Awareness Campaign Workshop Seoul Conference On Public Awareness Campaigns · AIMS -Identify useful and effective measures to increase public awareness of the risks of illegal migration, smuggling and people trafficking -Focus on developing strategies to realize the commitment and initiatives of the Bali Process to combat people smuggling, trafficking in persons, and related transnational crime -Promoting the Bali Process itself among public: traffickers and smugglers through out the region aware of the commitment and strong cooperative network of the 39 participating governments

Bali Process Public Awareness Campaign Workshop Seoul Conference On Public Awareness Campaigns · Suggestions and Recommendations -Conduct awareness –raising among/within government agencies on national laws, policies, international commitments -Conduct survey on preventive public awareness activities conducted by Bali process participating countries, and reference materials and post best practices on the Bali website -Public awareness on understanding of common definition of trafficking in persons and people smuggling

Bali Process Public Awareness Campaign Workshop Seoul Conference On Public Awareness Campaigns · Suggestions and Recommendations -Develop strategy for working with NGOs and media for maximizing effect -Identify innovative strategies to raise public awareness through overseas embassies and consulates, tourism authorities, labor and education ministries, among others through printing of flyer, public service announcements, producing and distributing awareness raising materials -Advertise success stories in cracking down on criminal migration
