4. Climate The Average temperature in Tokyo is 16°C.
August is the hottest month and January the coldest. There's about 20°C difference between summer and winter.
There are four distinct seasons, mild spring and fall, hot summer, and winter with a few snowfalls.

Tokyo has a long history from a fishing village to the capital of
Japan to a world economic power.
World War II had a great impact on the city as much need to be

6. Pre World War II
Tokyo was originally a small fishing village called Edo.
In 1603, the Shogun moved his base of military operations there and it
effectively became the capital of Japan.
In 1869, the Emperor moved to Edo and turned Edo castle into
the Imperial Palace.

7. After World War II The bombing of Tokyo left
much of the city destroyed.
The city was rebuilt and showcased
during the 1964 Olympics.
Now with over 35 million people,
