Graphic Design 2 Element of Art -Color Primary Colors: Colors at their basic essence; those colors that cannot be created by mixing others. Red Blue Yellow

Element of Art -Color Secondary Colors: Those colors achieved by a mixture of two primaries. Red + Blue = Purple Yellow + Red = Orange Yellow + Blue = Green

Element of Art - Color Complementary Color Scheme Those colors located opposite each other on a color wheel. For example, red is on the opposite side of green. Blue + Orange Yellow + Purple Complementary Colors match. They look good together. You will get perfect harmony when you use complementary colors.

Analogous Analogous Color Scheme Choosing colors next to one another on the color wheel can give your design flow, harmony and a theme. Colors like red, orange and yellow usually give a warm, sometimes even bold feeling to your artwork While colors like blue, green and darker purples are cooling and refreshing

Graphic Design 2 The neutrals White –All color wave are reflected equally. None are absorbed. Black –No color waves are reflected at all. All are absorbed. Gray –All color waves are reflected equally, but only partially.
