Absent notes (a must) Late Arrival 9:25 If late, students must be signed in at the office and they will get a pass (Please do not use side doors). Early dismissal – send in a note with your child Changes in transportation – send a note in that morning Please make sure to get a visitor’s pass before coming to the classroom

Students have spelling and math homework Monday through Thursday. Spelling will not be given if there is only a three day week. If a student does not hand in their homework, they will receive a slip to be signed by the parent. They will need to return the slip and completed homework by the next day

Words Their Way (Brain Research Program) All groups apply the techniques of the rules and patterns. Homework is given each night. The nightly homework explanation is in the front of the spelling journal. 2 week rotation

Please make sure to send in a note if you have a question or concern. Every minute counts in 2 nd Grade! Please make sure your child arrives on time to school and is ready to learn! Please remember to make an appointment with the teacher if you would like to discuss your child. Please do not send invitations and thank you notes into school for your child to pass out.
