5. 5 Overview of MAP Results Missouri made significant changes in the 2006 Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) to meet the standards of the National Assessment of Educational Process. Missouri gives the MAP in two content areas at specific grades. –Math--grade 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, & 10 –Communication Arts--grade 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 11 Student Results are reported in one of four levels –Level 1--Below Basic –Level 2--Basic –Level 3--Proficiency –Level 4--Advanced State and District goal is to move students out of Levels 1 & 2 and to move students into Levels 3 & 4.
