Why did People die in the Flood? Genesis 6:5-7

1 When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.” 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown. [3] Genesis 6:1-4 Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.

[4] Genesis 6:5-8 The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. 7 So the LORD said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. 9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

[5] Mt.24:37-39 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be

[6] History Repeats Flood – Final Judgment Most caught unprepared, 37; 1 Th.5 Caught up in innocent things, 38 Long waiting; sudden destruction, 39 Necessary because of sin, Jn.16:8 Universal; no escape, Ro.2:3; Hb.9:27 Universal escape offered, Hb.11:7; 2 Pt.2:5 1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. John 16:8And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:

No one comes to the Father except through me. Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Are you a child of God, with unrepented sins?
