My Vision for the Software TC 1.Engage the TC members Establish bi-monthly meetings to encourage active participation in the TC and software community Foster face-to-face meetings at conferences with tele- conference capabilities for non-attendees 2.Define a focus to our work that can be distinguished from efforts of other Technical Committees There may be multiple focus areas This will evolve as software practices are continually refined

My Vision for the Software TC (contd.) 3.Establish liaisons with complementary TCs to assert softwares role in many ongoing research areas 4.Expand our presence at national conferences Move outside of ASM/Infotech Sponsor sessions in-line with our focus areas Sponsor software related papers in other topic area sessions 5.Continue the work of the independent sub-committees Foster support from the at-large membership

My Vision for the Software TC (contd.) 6.Facilitate publishing of software related papers outside of conferences (e.g. journals, webinars) 7.Provide encouragement and guidance to junior professionals to present at conferences, join AIAA, and become active participants 8.Sponsor keynote speakers and panel discussions from distinguished people inside and out of the aerospace community to highlight the important role software plays in research and development of operational systems
